The Cider Barn

This converted old Cider Barn sits adjacent to the Mill and close to the orchard and garden. Once used to house the apple press for making cider, the Cider Barn was connected to the Mill via a leather belt, driven by the waterwheel , which was used to prepare the apples for the press used in the cider making process.

Now lovingly restored, this unique building is a comfortable place to stay. With country cottage style kitchen, woodburner in the lounge and with original wooden beams throughout , you will thoroughly enjoy your stay.

• Bedrooms: (ground floor)
• Bedroom one - Twin room with two single beds, travel cot, wardrobe and flagstone floor.
• Bedroom two - Master bedroom , King sized bed and fitted wardrobes. Flagstone floor.
• Bathrooms:
• Brand new, fully tiled, modern fresh and clean bathroom with luxury shower, bath, vanity unit, heated towl rail and vaulted pine ceiling.
• Kitchen & Dining Area
• Seven external steps lead to large , first floor, open plan Kitchen/Dinning/Living Room with original vaulted beamed ceiling, oak floor, New fully equiped kitchen with all new appliances such as washing machine, dishwater, microwave, ice-box fridge, touch control electric hob and fan assisted double oven.
• High chair, iron, iron board, washing line, vacuum cleaner, and variety of childrens games.
• Living Room:
• Ipod dock, free-veiw tv, dvd and cd player. 
• Logburner with logs (provided from October to April) & Oil central heating throughout the cottage.   

Notes on accomodation

The Cider Barn is child friendly and there is plenty of landscaped garden space to enjoy around the building. Sorry but dogs are not permitted and no smoking.

Bed linen, hand & bath towels, tea towels, cleaning equipment, oil logs, and electricity all included in the rent.. Beach towels and cot linen are not provided

Outside

The entrance to the Cider Barn overlooks the working waterwheel. There is a fenced gravelled area with seating and BBQ adjacent to the rear of the barn which then leads through the apple trees and into the main garden with Millpond and leat to to the rear of the property. Children must be supervised in the Orchard as there are culverts, streams and a deep pond. 

Parking

 There is an- attached carport/garage for one car and parking area with space for another car if required.    

Booking notes    

A deposit will be required to secure your week(s) - 50% of rent. The balance payable 8 weeks before the holiday. If the holiday is booked less than 8 weeks from its commencement, the full charge is payable. All clients are urged to take out cancellation insurance. If you fail to insure or if your claim does not qualify the following applies a) if we are unable to re-let, the moneys paid already shall be forfeit. B) If we re-let we shall refund all moneys less handling charge £50 per week.

Booking and availability

Short Breaks are priced at two thirds of the full weeks rent for 3 nights; extra nights are 10% of the full weeks rent. They can commence on any day of the week. Four nights for the price of three for mid-week breaks.

Bookings for October to May are accepted at any time, however Peak time bookings may only be made at short notice to allow priority for full week bookings. (Peak Times are the months of June to September plus the weeks of October half term, Chrismas, New Year, Easter and Spring Bank Holiday end of May)

Notes on prices

Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. If the Last Saturday of the month is between the 28th - 31st and this is your depart date - the price will be charged at the next months rate.

Changeover day

 Weekly lets run from Saturday to Saturday. Please arrive after 3pm and depart before 10am.
